Outside of school – students learn in virtual tutorials and face to face lab days once per term in a central venue.
In curriculum- Knoei team delivers the program in the school classroom with our qualified secondary and VET teaching staff.
Optional start – Intakes in Oct or January for grade 11 or grade 12 delivered over 12 months.
Many pathways to success
Students who complete the Knoei Colab can use their embedded qualification as an alternative pathway or early entry to university.
Some universities offer credit towards the relevant Bachelor program including business, engineering, science and creative industries.

Gateway to Industry Schools program

Once you graduate with the Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business (BSB40320)*, you can use the qualification as an alternative pathway to university.
In addition you may receive credit towards a relevant university program. Please contact your preferred university directly regarding admission and credit based on a nationally recognised Certificate IV program.

Are you a high school teacher looking to enhance your skills in entrepreneurship education? Would you like the opportunity to partner with us to teach Knoei Colab to your students?
Join a community of passionate educators inspiring young peoples futures in our hands-on professional development program (including a Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business) designed specifically for educators like you!
As a Knoei Catalyst educator, you’ll not only bolster your students’ skill sets, but you’ll also dramatically shape their futures.
The Knoei Colab is delivered across 12 months. We offer rolling term intakes with our most common in takes being: in term 1 (January) and term 4 (October) as some schools begin Year 11 studies in term 4 of Year 10.
The Colab is delivered as one module per term in the class timetable or via the virtual tutorials. There are four modules in total to complete.
As the Colab is a hybrid program, we can accept as few as one student from a school where they are a virtual student. However, for a Knoei Facilitator to visit on site each week, we require a minimum of 22 students to create an effective learning cohort.

Students have 90 minutes of contact time per week in their virtual tutorial.
Additionally, we recommend three hours outside school to progress the modules content as homework. They will need to be released from school 1 day a term to attend the Learning Labs.
Any supervising teacher or VET coordinator support is welcome for those students who struggle to stay up to date in subitting their tasks and assessments. Our team do follow up with students and parents, and we work with school to engage students in their learning.

We offer an accelerated program so teachers can understand the program content and gain the qualification .
If teachers have the required VET trainer qualifications, they can co -deliver in the classroom with our facilitation team. If you don’t have the required VET teaching qualifications but do have your teacher registration, please reach out to discuss this further.
Our teacher training program commences in January 2025.
This program is virtual ONLY with one intake a year delivered after-hours with a mixed delivery method of self-paced online and virtual webinars.
Teachers in training complete 1 module across 2 months with no holiday periods.
Teachers or staff who are enrolled in this can co-deliver with our innovation facilitators under supervision (unless they have had a start-up or business experience)
Once qualified, they can deliver classroom tutorials with Knoei support.
All Knoei programs are delivered through a transformative peer and project-based learning approach that develops and embeds innovation and entrepreneurial mindsets. Our approach includes our Innovation Skill Systems that provides tangible evidence for our graduates of their transferable future ready skills to their employers wherever they go.
